Executive Assistant - General Manager & Mayor
Cobar is a rural mining community located in far western New South Wales. Our shire is one of the largest in the state, spanning over 44,000 square kilometres.
The Executive Assistant will provide high quality, professional and efficient executive level administrative support as well as exceptional customer service to and on behalf of the General Manager and Mayor.
The successful candidate will need to anticipate the needs of the General Manager, showing initiative, flexibility and resourcefulness, whilst willingly adapting in an environment of fluctuating workloads and changing priorities in order to meet operational outcomes and deadlines, with minimal supervision.
As a comprehensive user of Microsoft Office applications with demonstrated maturity and discretion to deal with sensitive and confidential information, the Executive Assistant will be well-presented, have a strong customer focus and highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
This full-time position is classified as Band 2 Level 3 ($40.12 – $46.45/hr) under Council’s salary system, with employment terms and conditions in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award, working a nine-day fortnight, 35 hours per week.
