The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has come about within our Finance team for a Finance Support and Systems Officer, who will be responsible for providing specialist systems and finance support, advice and training on various accounting and reporting systems. The person will also actively engage with business units to improve user experience and contribute to improvements that enhance the functionality of systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist support and advice to business units relating to finance systems including business information systems.
- Actively engage as a business partner with business unit managers and staff to ensure all software modules are well supported an effective and user friendly experience.
- Initiate and implement process improvements
- Resolve problems using previous knowledge of systems and finance systems.
- Schedule work tasks to meet set deadlines.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate with senior staff to achieve business objectives.
- Recognised appropriate tertiary qualification with membership of professional accounting body, preferably CPA or CA status or progress toward same is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in all facets of accounting.
- Sound knowledge of budgetary and management accounting systems.
- Solid understanding and experience in applying the concepts of information technology and finance
